Throwback Thursday’s : Vintage Stop Motion

Thursday, October 14th, 2010

For this week’s Throwback Thursday’s post we pulled out this old gem from our EP vaults. It’s the summer of 2005, myself and close friend, and photographer, Dominic Gouin have been simmering on trying out some stop-motion video. My college roomates are in town for the Grand Prix, three jokers up for anything. Dominic and I need to do some tests, the boys are up for anything. A bottle of Alize later I had the random snippits chopped up in iMovie synced to the sounds of Kanye’s summer anthem ‘Diamonds are Forever’ The video is super ghetto with no scripting or choreography but it will make you chuckle. 748 pics in 4 mins.

Dark Side of the Lens

Monday, October 4th, 2010

The first short film by renowned photographer and body boarder Micky Smith. The images throughout the film are so stunning. You feel the power of the ocean which attributes to the toughness of Micky’s job. Shot around England with Allan Wilson from Astray Collective. Discovery or National Geographic need to pick these guys up. Wow!
