BMW 1 Series M Coupe

Friday, December 10th, 2010

After much teasing and anticipation BMW has finally released pics/specs on their new BMW 1 series M Coupe. Unfortunately the last few decades the M Division seems to have been transitioning from standing for “Motorsport” to “Marketing” thus bringing out bloated products completely against their heritage. This new M Coupe is a throwback to the original e30 M3 which was and always will be a pure drivers car. At EP we have one of these rare classics in the garage and can vouch for it being the ultimate expression of BMW M (Some pics of our beast after the jump). Engineers set out to recreate the old magic and have not compromised this time around. Special design elements to get your heart racing with the driving dynamics to match, this thing is going to be an instant classic. Production will run around 2500 units with three color choices, Black, White, & Orange. We’re definitely running over to the dealer to get our name down for one. More pics after the jump…

Audi Quattro Concept

Wednesday, December 8th, 2010

Audi premiered their new Quattro concept car a few weeks back in homage to the original Quattro of the 80′s. Design details we love: embossed audi rings on the quarter panel; machined aluminum steering wheel base; carbon fibre accents on the wing mirrors, rear lights, door panels; air vents in along the bonnet; the slight curves at the end of the wheel spokes. Usually concepts are so far from being production ready but this one seems ready to go. Come on Audi, build it! More pics after the jump…

Secret NYC Subway Station

Monday, November 8th, 2010

The NYC City Hall Subway station is a hidden architectural gem that has been closed for decades. The station was built in 1904 and features tall arches, brass fixtures, and amazing skylights. Even though the station has been closed it is still being used as a turnaround point for the #6 train. Next time you are in NYC jump on the #6 train and instead of getting off it’s last stop, Brooklyn Bridge, stay on the train till it reaches it’s turnaround point at City Hall. More pics after jump…

BMW Classics Private Collection

Thursday, October 28th, 2010

BMW Classic is located close to the BMW Museum in Munich. BMW Classic was created to archive, restore, and preserve the company’s 90 year history. Earlier this year they opened their doors to the public allowing access to old vehicle new parts and their restoration services. Hidden in the back warehouses of BMW Classic is an amazing collection of the company’s past greats. This private museum has never been shown to the public but a source at autoblog.com was granted access. We are big BMW fans at EP, this collection showcases the diversity of their great designs over the years. The orange Jager CSL is drools, from the body flares, to the duck tail, not to mention the BBS wheels…wow! More after the jump…

Jaguar premiered their concept C-X75 at last week’s Paris Auto Show. We love the proportions of the concept and some of it’s styling cues from their previous halo car the XJ-220. Some of the details are brilliant. Especially love the dash gauge pod. More after the jump…

Aston Martin Rapide Design Details

Friday, September 24th, 2010

Aston Martin recently launched their 4-door executive saloon, the Rapide. Came across these pics of it’s amazing design details. Materials and textures are so beautifully integrated inside and out. The last pic shows the cover for the trunk latch, why? so you don’t see the ugly hook when the trunk is open. This is what $200k buys you. More after the jump…
